One of the most common falsehoods promulgated by creationists is that there are no transitional species in the fossil record. Human ancestory is quite well documented and a few of those non-existent transitionals are shown below.

Lucy's hips as reconstructed by Owen Lovejoy (top left), those of a modern human (bottom left), and those of a modern chimpanzee (right). Obviously, though not identical to a human pelvic girdle, Lucy's hips are more similar to those of the human than those of the chimpanzee. Lovejoy maintains that Lucy's human-like pelvis is one important indication that afarensis was an upright walker. This is extremely interesting in light of the very apelike appearence of the afarensis skull (above).
This is the oldest known homo jaw, thought to be h. habilis. It is dated to approx. 2.5 million yrs. ago.
